Laurel Ann Bogen is the author of ten books of poetry and short fiction. Since 1990 she has been an instructor in the Writers’ Program at UCLA Extension where she received the Outstanding Instructor of the Year Award in 2008. In 2016, Red Hen Press will publish All of the Above: New and Selected Poems, 1975-2015. She is a founding member of the performance trio Nearly Fatal Women, which broke (or tied) attendance records for Beyond Baroque Literary Arts Center in 2014.

Elena Karina Byrne is an editor, Poetry Consultant / Moderator for The Los Angeles Times Festival of Books, Contributing Editor for the Los Angeles Review of Books, and Literary Programs Director for The Ruskin Art Club. She is the former Regional Director of the Poetry Society of America. Publications include a Pushcart Prize, Best American Poetry, Yale Review, Paris Review, Verse & APR. Books include: The Flammable Bird, MASQUE and the forthcoming Squander and Voyeur Hour: Meditations on Poetry, Art and Desire.

Jawanza Dumisani is a native Detroiter whose first full-length collection is Black Raising Cane Over Red (Glover Lane Press, 2014). Since joining The World Stage Anassi Writer’s in 1997, he earned a scholarship in ’03 and studied with Suzanne Lummis at the UCLA Extension Writers’ Program.  In ’05 he received THE PEN AWARD. He served as Director of Literary Programming at The World Stage from 2005 to 2011. He serves as Executive Director of Lady Between The Lines Art Agency.

Liz González is a fourth generation Southern Californian. Her poetry, fiction, and memoirs have appeared in numerous literary journals, periodicals, and anthologies. She is the author of the limited edition chapbook Beneath Bone, published by Manifest Press (2000). Liz earned an M.F.A. in English and Creative Writing at Mills College and BA in Theatre Arts: Acting and Directing at California State University, Los Angeles.

Gerald Locklin is Professor Emeritus of English, California State University, Long Beach.  His Books from 2013 include Deep Meanings (Presa Press), three novellas  (Spout Hill Press), and  Le Dernier des Damnes (13 eNote Editions, Paris).  He is archived by the CSULB Library Special Collections and is the subject of A Critical Introduction to Gerald Locklin, edited by Michael Basinski.
