Tod Goldberg is the author of a dozen books, including “Gangsterland”, which will be released in 2014 from Counterpoint. His essays, journalism and criticism have appeared in the Los Angeles Times, Wall Street Journal and, most recently, Best American Essays 2013. He lives in Indio, CA where he directs the Low Residency MFA in Creative Writing & Writing for the Performing Arts at the University of California, Riverside.

Milo Martin is a Northern California native. In the ’90’s he was very active in the Onyx Cafe poetry scene and formed the original ’97 Hollywood/Los Feliz Slam Team and later the National Slam winners in 2004 and 2005. Milo has toured extensively throughout the United States and Europe. His works have been translated into four languages. He  has a Master’s degree in Creative Writing from USC. The title of my most recent collection of poetry is called, “Poems for the Utopian Nihilist”. He is finishing a new collection of poetry entitled “Sublemon/Sublime” and is looking for a new publisher.

Suzanne Lummis Poet and Writer, Teacher, Actor, Performer, Literary Arts Organizer. She has led the beginning through master class workshops in poetry at the UCLA Extension since 1991. In she won the Blue Lynx Poetry Award. Her poems have appeared in numerous literary journals. In 2011 she was the driving force behind a 25-event citywide series, “Night and the City: L.A. Noir in Poetry, Fiction and Film”.  She is co-editor of Beyond Baroque’s new imprint, The Pacific Coast Poetry Series, which will publish an important new anthology of Los Angeles area poets in 2014. Suzanne also serves as the Literary Director for The Arroyo Arts Collective’s “Poetry in the Windows” public art project.

Sarah LaBrie’s fiction has appeared or is forthcoming in Epoch, Joyland, Trop, Encyclopedia Journal and the NewerYork, and was anthologized in the 2013 California Prose Directory.

Mark Seabrooks, a Louisville Kentucky native, has been a writer in L.A. for over twenty years and a storyteller his entire life.  He has worked on sitcoms for all the major networks, has written for comedians such as Redd Foxx, Cedric the Entertainer, and Steve Harvey. He has been a professor of dramatic writing at NYU Tisch Asia and is now working on creating his own storytelling website.

Jesse Macht is a native Los Angelean and grew up in a family of entertainers.  Jesse was featured as one of ASCAP Nashville’s up-and-coming songwriters at the WE CREATE MUSIC concert series at The Basement. He has two CDs.

The club is a two story black brick building 1/3 rd of a block below Hollywood Bl. There are parking lots on Selma as well as Cahuenga. Meters need to be fed till 8pm.
